Pre-Production Diary

30/09/2014
Using the shot list we created earlier we began to create the first scenes on the storyboard. We stopped with story board as we decided to add some new features into the movie, this means we will need to adjust the shot list accordingly for the new content.

01/10/2014
As previously planned the shot list has been adjusted to the new narratives and we began planning the locations, actors and costumes we will use along with which days we will be shooting.

02/10/2014
In today's lesson we completed the storyboard with the new narrative we had planned earlier. We have filled in one of the recces for the locations we will use.

03/10/2014
in today's lesson we filled in multiple pieces of paperwork including the production schedule, budgeting list, props and costumes list as well as finishing the storyboard entirely.

After looking over the paperwork we added some extra information to the shot list such as the edits in between scenes. We handed in the paperwork for marking over the next couple of days.

07/10/2014
No work was done today because the work was being marked by our tutors. The whole class watched the film 'The Science Of Sleep'.

We added in any extra parts into our paperwork and submitted it to be marked over the long weekend.

On this day we were not in college so we used this opportunity to film everything we needed allowing us more time to edit it.

13/10/2014
After filming over the long weekend we transferred the footage to each others computers so that we all have a copy. Editing could not begin today as one of our group members was absent.

14/10/2014
Today we began editing the footage we gathered on Thursday.

15/10/2014
We continued on from yesterday, by doing more editing.

16/10/2014
We lost all of our editing progress and had to re export our footage and audio to a new mac.

17/10/2014
We completed a basic timeline of all of our audio and footage, although we will still need to correctly synchronize all the footage and audio.

20/10/2014
We spent both lessons synchronising all the audio and sound files we had together as well as adding in the sound effects we gathered earlier.

21/10/2014
We spent today's lessons working on the transitions between the audio and video as well as changing some levels when the audio peaked.

22/10/2014
A member of our group was absent so we could not do too much work, so we added in a title sequence as well as an end credit scene.

23/10/2014
Today we finished all of our editing as well as adding in a new shot to replace an older one, we rendered the file and it is now uploaded to YouTube.
