3 Minute Wonders

A 3 minute wonder is a short documentary which covers a subject within a time limit of 3 minutes. the aim of a 3 minute wonder is to educate audience members on a subject in a 'bite-size' chunk, this style of documentary tends to either cover lesser known stories in detail or larger subjects that can be condensed/summarized.

Karl Pilkington life:
In this short documentary Karl Pilkington briefly explores the beginning of the world as well as evolution and natural selection. This documentary offers a more comedic view on life in Karl Pilkington's typical style. This documentary does not seek to educate the audience merely to entertain them to content in the short is the very basics of evolution and natural selection.

This Is Our Youth: Carrot Crew
In this short  mock documentary we see two rival gangs the 'Carrot Crew' and the 'Crisp Crew' vying for control of eating habits in a London school.  Much like the Karl Pilkington documentary this short focuses more on comedy rather than education.

Three-Minute Wonder - Gemma
In this short documentary we are given an inside look into a cancer ward of a hospital and in particular the life of a patient, Gemma, who is currently undergoing chemotherapy, but still remains ambitious. This documentary shows audiences that although the patients are suffering from cancer they still remain upbeat and refuse to be treated any differently.


This Is Our Youth: Extreme Retro
Another part of the This Is Our Youth series, this short follows a group of London girls who attempt to go 'extreme retro' by wearing Shakespearean era clothing. As with before the higher focus on comedy makes this short memorable and entertaining.

King of Laughter
In this documentary Belachew Girma  the 'king of laughter' attempts to bring happiness back to the town of Walsall, which according to a recent poll is the unhappiest place to live in Britain. This documentary uses the infectious nature of laughter to entertain audiences.
